Coaches – Wanted!
Coach development is a high priority in Frontenac. FMHA is committed to following the mission statement of Hockey Canada, the governing body of hockey in Canada, “To lead, develop and promote positive hockey experiences.”
We are offering a Coaches specialty clinic.
DATE: Saturday Sept 14th, (8:30 – 4:30) cost is only $25 (lunch is included).  
For more information and to register please contact:  (Frank Donovan, Coach Coordinator). If you are interested in a Coach or Assistant Coach position at the House League level you need to have Speak Out!/Respect in Sport (RIS) and will benefit from the clinics offered by FMHA.
Current FMHA Coaches that need to update the Refresher Course will be offered in at the Strathcona Paper Centre, Sept. 10, 2013 from 6pm – 10pm.

Parents/Guardians and Volunteers | Speak Out! / Respect in Sport [RIS]
If you wish to be on the ice to volunteer with a team or will be on the ice for the LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM you will need to be certified with Speak Out!. The course can be completed quickly at
ALL Team Officials [Coaches, Trainers, Managers] in the OMHA must have a minimum of Speak Out! [PRS] or Respect in Sport [RIS] certification in addition to all other certification appropriate to their position. All participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age to attend a Speak Out! clinic. All Association Executives and Parents are also strongly encourages to complete the online clinic. Its quick:
Registration is Open! EVALUATIONS will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013. We will post the schedule to our website shortly. Regular season will start after the Thanksgiving weekend on Oct 15, 2013. Coaches will contact players for pre-season practices. REGISTER NOW
Tyke Evaluations - FREE 
We would like to invite our Tyke players to a free on ice evaluation. Please attend either Sat Sept 14th 1pm-2pm or Sun Sept 22nd 11am - 12pm. NEW! Learn to Skate Program
Starts Sat Oct 19th and runs for 10 weeks straight every Saturday from 8am-8:50am at a cost of $100.
Parents are required to go on the ice with their child.  This is just a fun 50 min skate with your child with an opportunity to develop their skating.  Our goal is to have a couple of helpers/instructors on the ice to assist parents and skaters to learn in a fun and positive environment. REGISTER NOW

New Appointment - Referee In Chief – Rob Mills! 
The FMHA Executive Committee is pleased to announce that Rob Mills was awarded the Referee In Chief position. Rob brings a very strong hockey background as well as has a great enthusiasm to help grow our officiating programs.

FMHA is now designated a ‘CC’ Centre. 
FMHA Executive applied to the OMHA Category Review Committee to be designated a ‘CC’ Centre from a ‘B’ Centre early this spring and are pleased to announce that our application was granted. REP teams will be competing at the ‘CC’ competitive level this season! We hope to see a lot of play-off action in Piccadilly at the end of the regular season!

A new scoreboard was installed at the arena during the off season and is now ready our 2013 season of play.
