Both our Frontenac Flyers Peewee HL teams battle to the end in this years Score Wars Tournament Finals

Congratulations to the Peewee Flyers team Orange for winning the Score Wars Tournament on Dec. 28th.

It was a rough and early start to the day for our players who opened the tournament vs Napanee Stars 3.  After being down a goal early in the game, the Flyers fought back hard to come away with a 4-2 win. In the second game, the team was a little bit more awake and faced a hungry team from Kingston.  With both goalies holding their own in net, and our team coming from behind, the players fought hard for a final 5-2 win. With two wins under their belt and very few goals scored against, our team squeaked into the finals against our very own Flyers team Yellow.  In front of a packed house, both Flyers teams came out wanting to win. The game was a nail biter with goals back and forth, until a shot from the point put team Orange ahead by 1 to make the score 3-2. Team Orange was on fire after that goal and scored two more to take the cup with a final score of 5-2.  Congratulations to both Peewee Flyers teams for making it to the finals and thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes for making this day possible.

Our annual Score Wars Tournament was 3 days of action packed games for our Atom & Peewee LL/HL and Peewee Rep teams. This year saw games played at both Frontenac & Stone Mills arena's with teams traveling from all over.
The Atom LL/HL division saw Storrington Stingers beat out Leeds Chargers in the Finals taking home the win. Thanks to all the teams that participated including all three of our Atom Frontenac teams.
The second day the Peewee HL/LL took to the ice with both our Frontenac teams making it to the finals undefeated with Peewee Orange bringing home the win.
On the third and day the Peewee Rep division closed the tournament and the finals saw the host Frontenac Flyers being defeated 5-2 by the winners the Clarington Toros.
A very special thanks to Al Pixley, Jeff Peck, Debbie Donovan and all of the other volunteers who made this all possible.
