Our Annual AGM & Awards Ceremony 

on April 17th Frontenac Minor Hockey Association hosted our Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony.

Summary of AGM
  • President Al Pixley thanked all of our Coaches and volunteers for another great season of Frontenac Minor Hockey. 
Last season we had:
294 registered players.
45 Learn to Skate participants.
10 ICHL teams
5 Rep Teams
and 1 Peewee Select Team
  • Registration fees have held steady for past 6 years
  • Fundraising such as Rinks to Links Golf Tournament, Wreath Sales and Score Wars Tournament attribute to FMHA ability to keep fees steady 
  • Cash draw fundraiser a huge success and provided financial support for the new professional development program which included practices with built in power skating and goalie instructors.

Awards Ceremony

This award is presented at the end of each season to one player from each ICHL division (Novice through Midget). It is given to the player nominated by their coach, who best exemplifies the true spirit of hockey; hard work, sportsmanship, leadership, commitment and having fun.   
Novice - Hunter Davis
Atom - Colton Garrett
Peewee - Jeremy Phillips
Bantam - Matt Hennesey
Midget - Zach Huran

The Heart Award is presented to a FMHA member who truly is generous with their time and efforts for the association for the pure love of the game and desire to help out 
 This award went to a very deserving Al Pixley

This award is presented to a volunteer in the Atom division who exemplifies the spirit of hockey.
This award was given to Atom Coach Rob Barker

Edmunds Memorial Award
This award is presented to an official with outstanding performance.
This award was given to Referee Hudson Ward

Another very special award was given to Roger Browns Family. Roger Brown had been a vital part in Frontenac Minor Hockey and its fundraising quietly raising over $334,000 for minor hockey over many years. Roger passed away earlier this year and his wife and 2 sons, who were previous Frontenac Flyers, were in attendance to receive a very special portrait of Roger which we will hang proudly in the Arena.

REGISTRATION for Frontenac Minor Hockey is NOW OPEN!!
We are pleased to again offer easy equal payment options beginning in June so don't wait visit our Registration Page and Register Now. 
Our Learn to Skate and First Shift Program Registrations are not yet open but stay tuned. 
Coaches and volunteers are always needed so be sure to consider making a difference to our youth and hockey programs by coaching or helping out.
