FMH UPDATE
Submitted By Liz Bigelow on Sunday, October 3, 2021
We are in full swing and wanted to take a second to provide you an update.

ROSTERS & SCHEDULING
Rep Tryouts and HL Evaluations are continuing.  Scheduling meetings are occurring over the next two weeks with all the other centres in our loop.  We anticipate seasons starting no later than the middle of October.  Ice times will continue to be scheduled between now and then

While the FMH Calendar is not fully populated yet, once things to start to firm up, ice times will be added quickly.  By mid-Oct the entire schedule stretching out until Xmas will be listed.

Please be patient as we juggle the numerous factors that influence rosters and scheduling.  Here is a link to the schedule:
https://frontenachockey.ca/Calendar/ be sure to check it often as there continue to be changes. Be sure to subscribe to your team calendar for instant updates by clicking HERE

JERSEYS
There is a box outside our new equipment room (Darryl's old pro shop).  Please return all Jerseys that were given out last year.  We need these Jersey’s for programming this year

DEVELOPMENT
We are excited to announce the FMH has secured former NHL great Peter Schaefer to run both our HL and Rep Development Programs.  For HL, Peter will be coming out once a month with each age group at no cost to our Families.  We are also in the process of securing a Goalie Coach to do some goalie development at the same time.  These sessions will be added to the calendar shortly

2012 - POSITIVE COVID TEST
I previously reported last week that one of our 2012 players tested positive for Covid.  He was last on the ice 20 Sept.  This resulted in 17 of our players being tested twice and being placed into 10 day isolation.  I am happy to report that I am not aware of any other positive tests.  2012 Families have received multiple updates and Rep Tryouts have been pushed to accommodate

A SHOUT OUT TO THE VOLUNTEERS.
There are too many to name, but I would like to thank all the coaches, on-ice helpers, off-ice evaluators, Schedulers, Registration Desk folks, and FMH Exec, who have spent dozens of hours over the past two weeks to get Frontenac Hockey up and running.  Community Hockey does not happen without the Community

See you on the ice
