These Flyers keep on rolling
Novice Rep Frontenac Flyers excel through the transitions

Three weeks ago the Frontenac Flyers Novice Rep Team transitioned from a successful half-ice season to begin the full-ice regular season. Everyone was excited to see how the Little Flyers were going to make the adjustment.  Face-offs??  Icings??  Offsides??  No problem!!!   The kids were ready and pumped to play hockey just like their older siblings!!   The results have been fantastic.  First, the Flyers travelled to Bradford to participate in the Blue and Gold Tournament.  After four wins the Flyers came home crowned as champions!  They have also played the first 3 of their regular season games.  They currently sit with 2 wins and 1 tie, having outshot their opponents by approximately 20 shots each game.  This record puts them in second place (of 11 teams) nipping on the heels of the undefeated Campbellford Colts.   The Flyers identity is their skating and tireless work ethic.  There are not many teams that can match their compete level.  They boast an outstanding mobile defence with feared bruising shots (Ty Brown(C), Lennox George, Jake Seymour, Damon Knox).  This is complimented  by dynamo offensive drive-to-the-net forwards who also relentlessly back-check. (Kane Thomas(A), Tripp Chiasson, Nolan Flemming, Ethan Tryon(A), Luke Peck, Carson Hoekstra, Johnny McNichols).   They are anchored in net with the goaltending tandem of  Callen Thompson and Brayden McNamara.   What is truly outstanding to consider is that a third of the players are in their minor year, and another two players were end-December babies.  They may be the smallest and youngest team on the ice……but they play like Flyers.   If you want to come watch some fun and entertaining hockey there are still 3 home games left.
