Atom Rep ring in the New year with a big tournament win in Gananoque

Game 1 saw the Atom Flyers execute solid play and puck movement with their local rival, Brockville Braves, enroute to a 3-0 win with Zakk Ottenhof collecting the shutout.
Game 2 saw the Atom Flyers take on the South Grenville Rangers. Another great game of solid puck possession and getting quality shots on their goalie. The Flyers completed another 3-0 win with a second consecutive shutout for Ottenhof.
Game 3 was a semifinal tilt with Brockville who came off a big 6-1 win vs South Grenville to play us again. Solid D zone play and protecting a 1-0 lead most of the game  helped pave the way to a 3-0 win and a 3rd consecutive shutout for Ottenhof and a trip to the finals vs host Gananoque Islanders.
Gananoque came out strong all game long matching our play with hard forechecking and grabbing a 4-3 lead late in the 3rd period. With just a couple of minutes left to play, Flyer winger Caleb Doyle broke thru the right wing and blew by the defenders to put it upstairs on the Gan goalie for the 4-4 tie and a visit to OT. In overtime the Islanders continued to play stellar hockey until the midway point of OT when Brayden Thompson broke thru the D for a breakaway goal and secured the win for the Atom Rep Flyers.
This is the 2nd consecutive tournament championship for the Atom Flyers this season, who recently won the Brockville Braves Atom Rep tournament last month.
