Last weekend the Peewee Rep team crossed the border to leave the mark of the Frontenac Flyers in Vermont.
It was a great vacation filled with some hockey for the boys and parents of the Peewee rep team last weekend. After a 4.5hr driver to Jay Peak Vermont we hit the waterpark Thursday night before our game Friday vs the Massachusetts Minuteman. Flyers held off the pesky Minutemen for a 5-4 win. Took us a bit to get used to no delayed off sides and no icings while shorthanded a new USA hockey rule.
After another night at the water park we took the ice for 2 games Saturday. Saturday morning's game saw the Flyers come out victorious quite easily 9-0 over the Boston Jr Crusaders and then another shutout 5-0 over St. Albans. Three wins put the Flyers in the A final vs the New England Patriots (not Tom Brady's team which disappointed the Flyer moms). Despite great fan support combining Halloween with Flyer colors, The Patriots took the Final 5-1.
Awesome tournament was had by both players, parents and siblings.
