Its hard to believe that the ice will be going into FCA in just over a month!

Thank you to all those that have already registered for the 2019 - 2020 season. As mentioned registering early makes it so much easier for our volunteers to start planning and building our season, plus you avoid having to pay the $100 late fee which will be applied if you do not register by September 1st.

Rep Tryouts are quickly approaching and our first tryout kicks off on August 20th. If you are interested in trying out for our Frontenac Flyers Rep teams you MUST be registered before tryouts. Click Here for Tryout Schedule and more information regarding our successful Rep Program.

Juvenile Rep  The e-mail response was so good that we are going to move forward and have a Juvenile Rep tryout!! This tryout is going to determine interest for a Frontenac Juvenile Rep Hockey Team. Cost will be $20 and payment will be received at the door. Eligible players from other centres are welcome however, If you are coming from another centre please make sure you contact your home centre for a 3.5 request form.

New to Hockey? Be sure to check out our great Intro to Hockey/Skating programs. Frontenac Minor Hockey has many options for our young skaters. 
 
Learn to Skate - The intent of Learn to Skate is to teach children how to skate. It is open to all ages. The Learn to Skate Program consists of 5 weekly sessions, which will run once a week on Saturday mornings. We will run 2 separate sessions and if space is available children may register for both sessions.
This program is designed for families interested in getting their children confident on skates but not quite sure if they want to commit to playing hockey.
First LTS Session (Saturday Mornings 8:00am) - October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th & November 2nd
Second LTS Session (Saturday Mornings 8:00am) - January 25th, February 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd

Initiation Program (IP) & Minor Novice - New this year, Tyke is now being called MINOR NOVICE.
The intent of this program is to introduce our children to organized hockey. This is a great program where you will be amazed at the progress your kids make. They will start barely being able to skate, and finish playing hockey! The primary focus will be on skating, with puck handling and other hockey skills being introduced as the progress.  The age categories are as follows:
IP – 4-6 years old  
Minor Novice – 7 years old and potentially some experienced 6 year old's
Full equipment is required.  Kids will be organized by experience level. There will generally be 2 practices a week running from end-September to early March. Half-ice and Cross Ice Games will be introduced at Christmas.  It is recommended that kids be able to stand up unassisted on skates before registering for IP or Minor Novice

First Shift - In partnership with the Frontenac Fury, we are pleased to offer the First Shift program this year.
We will be hosting 1 session which will run for 10 weeks . (November 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th December 7th, 14th, 21st January 4th, 11th & 18th).
First Shift is an introduction to hockey based program.
Please Note: You cannot participate in First Shift if you have already played organized hockey.
It is open to children from 6-10 years of age.
In addition to 10 organized practices, all players will be given a full set of hockey equipment.

OurCLINICS are open for registration! 

Puck Handling/Power Skating- $40.00 – Two sessions - 1.5 hr sessions each
Join us for on-ice clinics that incorporates fundamental skating with edge work, puck handling and hockey skills designed for players who really want to improve all aspects of their hockey game.  
Clinics are first come first serve.  
Friday Sept 20th and Tuesday Sept 24th.
Session #1 (Novice & Atom) Friday Sept 20th 5:30-7:00pm & Tuesday Sept 24th 6:00-7:30pm
Session #2 (PeeWee, Bantam & Midget) Friday Sept 20th 7:00 - 8:30pm & Tuesday Sept 24th 7:30 - 9:00pm

Goalie Clinic - $60 - Two Sessions - 1.5 hour sessions each
Frontenac Minor Hockey is dedicated to continue developing Goaltenders of all ages and levels. We will be offering Goalie Clinics throughout the year. These clinics will be instructor led sessions will teach basic fundamentals and help perfect goaltending skills through a series of on-ice drills. This is open to all ages & levels and we encourage players who might like to try the Goaltender position to attend. Only room for first 8-12 goalies who register.
Monday September 16th 6:30-8:00pm
Friday September 20th 8:30-10:00pm

RINKS TO LINKS Golf Tournament - We are excited to see some great prizes and donations coming our way for our Annual Fundraising Rinks to Links Golf Tournament.
