As crazy as it sounds, there are only 4(ish) more weeks of hockey. Here is an update for all of our Frontenac families with important year end information
SILVER STICK
Congrats to our U11 Rep team who represented Frontenac at the International SilverStick!
ICHL PLAYOFFS
Melissa Shibley, our ICHL Coordinator has passed on all information to coaches. ICHL Final Day will be March 4th and 5th at various centres. Each team will play one game against the next team in their respective division (i.e 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th etc). All Divisions will continue to play regular season games up to this final day.
The only exception is U11 which will have a small playoff round. Those games will be scheduled in the next week. Information will be passed through coaches.
FLYER CUP - FMH will be introducing the Flyer Cup this year. This will be a one game playoff between each LL team. It will occur the week of 6 March. The online schedule will be updated shortly
REP PLAYOFFS
These will be similar to last year. Each Division will be Tiered. There will be a round robin between all teams in the Tier. The winner of each Tier will go to the OMHA Finals.
These playoff games will not be scheduled until the week of 12 Feb. Be prepared to play starting 16 Feb
GOALIE & THIRD PLAYER REIMBURSEMENT
As in previous years, FMH will be cutting chqs to all families who have 3 kids rostered in FMH. The chq will be for 50% of the registration costs of your youngest player
New this year, FMH will be reimbursing all full time goalies 50% of their registration costs. This reimbursement is in recognition of the extra financial burden goalie parents have. Without goalies……we cannot play hockey
Chqs will be distributed through our bench staff
YEAR END DEVELOPMENT
This year we are hoping to arrange for year end player and goalie development. Projected Dates will be:
Tues 28 March
Wed 29 March
Mon 3 April
Tues 4 April

2023 REP TRYOUTS
OMHA has just announced that AAA and AA tryouts can now occur in the spring. This means FMH can now go back to end Aug tryouts. The Rough Schedule is as follows:
19 - 25 Aug - SHAKE THE RUST Skates
26 Aug - 2 Sept - U11-to-U18 Rep Tryouts
Mid Sept (once Frontenac Ice is in) - ICHL Evaluations
This is great news. It will give us much more time and flexibility. For the past two years we have had to conduct, shake-the-rust, rep tryouts, ICHL evaluation, and scheduling all within 3 weeks. It was a gong show for volunteers
