PrintGeneral Information

1. OMHA Approved rosters and Travel Permits MUST to be provided by your team in order to participate in this tournament one week minimum prior to tournament. No Exceptions. ONLY players on your approved rosters are allowed to play in the tournament. No exceptions. Team managers or coaches must check in with the tournament coordinators 30 mins prior to the start of the team’s first game.

2. OMHA Rules apply and are in effect.

3. Period lengths are 10-10-12 mins with a 2 min warmup. No timeouts allowed at any time of any game. If in any game in the 3rd period, a team is winning by 4 goals or more, the clock will become run time. Penalties become 3 mins for minor penalties and 7 mins for major penalties. If deficit is reduced to 3 goals or less at any time, the game goes back to stop time. In Round robin if games are tied at the end of regulation the game is over and both teams receive a point.

If game is tied after regulation in final championship games then a 3 on 3 - 5 min stop time sudden death OT period will follow (minor penalties 3 mins and majors players ejected from game and plays shorthanded). Any penalties during overtime will result in the player(s) going to box and team must play 3 on 2 or 3 on 1. Penalized player or players in the penalty box at the end of OT cannot participate in the shootout if game is tied after OT. If game is tied after OT, a sudden death shootout will follow. Each team one at a time will shoot…. home team shoots first. NO repeat shooters unless every player has taken a turn excluding penalized players. If home teams first shooter scores and visitor teams first shooter does not game is over - or vice versa. Shootout continues until winner is determined.

4. Each team must be dressed and ready to start the game 15 minutes early if game before should be running ahead of schedule at any time.

5. Please be courteous to our facilities. Rooms should be left neat and clean; they may be inspected at any time and should any vandalism/damage occur, team officials will be responsible for damages.

6. Each team is to have a certified trainer on the bench for each game. Please inform the other team and the tournament day coordinator if you do not have a trainer at least 1hr before your game,

7. When team colors are conflicting, the home team will be expected to change sweaters. If visitors have extra set then they can switch jerseys.

8. All referee and tournament committee decisions are final.

9. Referees, timekeepers and scorekeepers are assigned by FMHA.

10. FMHA and the tournament committee does not accept any responsibility for theft, damage, accidents or injuries to participants, spectators, equipment, personal belongings, etc.

11. The tournament committee and/or tournament coordinator reserve the right to make any decisions on the interpretation of the tournament rules, objections, protests etc. All decisions by the organizers will be final.

12. If for any reason, if the goal tender cannot continue to play and no second goalie is available to replace injured goalie; the injured goalie must be replaced immediately by a substitute player and or the team will be allowed 5 mins for the goal tender to be replace with his/her equipment or dress a substitute goal tender. After 5 mins the game must continue regardless.

13. Players must NOT go on the ice until the arena staff has left the ice, and the zamboni door has been closed. A buzzer will then signal players to go onto the ice. Players must wait behind the glass door entrances NOT by the benches or on the benches.

14. Players must play in at least one initial game to be eligible for any of the final games.

15. Any 5 minute major penalty, any match penalty, or any gross misconduct penalty will disqualify the player/team official from any further participation in the tournament.

16. There is a no alcohol allowed anywhere within the arena and is strictly enforced.

Zero tolerance is in effect for all coaches, players and spectators and will be strictly enforced by the referees and/or the day tournament committee. Referees and Arena Staff have the right to remove spectators from the arena who are believed to be under the influence.
